DAY 01 TUXTLA GUTIERREZ – SUMIDERO CANYON – CHIAPA DE CORZO – SAN CRISTÓBAL (wednesday)

Arrival and reception by our guide at Tuxtla airport. Departure to the SUMIDERO CANYON. Arrival at the jetty and boat ride through the canyon. Departure to the colonial Chiapa de Corzo city (recently named World Heritage for its party for boys) free food. Departure for the guided walking tour through its historic center. Tour to the Dominico Convent that comes from the eighteenth century, visit marimbas producing house. Departure to San Cristobal de las Casas. Arrival at the hotel. Free dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 02 SAN CRISTÓBAL – MONTEBELLO LAKES – SAN CRISTÓBAL (thursday)

In the morning, departure from San Cristóbal de las Casas, towards the  Montebello lakes. Our first visit will be to the waterfall of  chiflón, a natural water fall that is surrounded by lush vegetation formed by reeds and palm groves. We will finish with the visit to the most beautiful lake area in Mexico: the Montebello lakes. The natural reserve are composed of several hectares of pines, oaks and jungle; and where we can see several lakes, and admire, if the weather permits, the different shades of the waters that are part of this beautiful place. Return in the afternoon – night to San Cristóbal de las Casas. Accommodation.

DAY 03 SAN CRISTÓBAL – INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES  –  TUXTLA AIRPORT (friday)

After breakfast, we will leave to the indigenous communities of Tzotzil ethnic group; visiting first Chamulla, to learn, and  understand the fusion of traditions contemporary and ancient Mayan characteristics that identifies this place. Later, we will continue to Zinacantan, where we will visit the church   and the house of a cooperative family, where we will be received with a regional drink and observe as women work the waist loom of pre-Columbian times. After seeing the samples of what they produce will offer us to go to their kitchen, where if we have Luckily, they’ll invite us to taste handmade tortillas. Finally we will transfer San Cristobal de las Casas to Tuxtla Gutierrez airport to take the return flight.
